February

Well, what can I say about this month. As you will see, January and March through December were very busy, fun filled and eventful, however, this month I am calling the "Main Event!" We welcomed a healthy, bouncing, baby girl, Amya Ruby Irvin, born at Overlake Hospital at 4:03 p.m. on February 16, 2008, weighing 7 pounds and measuring 18 3/4 inches long. Dionne couldn't have planned this any better even if she had control over the situation! Rock and I arrived in town on February 15, took Dionne and Brian out to dinner and were woken at 5 a.m. with the nine month awaited call .....I was so excited that I had been invited to share this special time with my daughter and was by her side throughout her labor and delivery. Brian was happy to take the occasional break and report to the other three very anxious grandparents. I stayed in town for a few weeks so that I could be close by to help in any way I could. Aunty Danielle came to town shortly after Amya was born and she and I were able to visit with friends and just enjoy the new "Light in our Lives!"

My Eyes are closed..this baby will be born tomorrow

I think I am ready.................................now that wasn't so bad, was it!!!!

About Me

My photo
Still enjoying my life "under the Keller sun" on our slice of paradise, traveling around to see friends and family and making many trips to see our most amazing grandchild and now MOSTLY, being a Grandma, getting as much of our Amya as we possibly can and LOVING grandparenthood.
