Playing in the Big City

It was so nice to go to Spokane and just play! No shopping and no missions. We found a wonderful little winery....then we went to Happy Hour at a funky restaurant called Zola's, recommended by the winery guy. After that we went to see the funniest movie "The Hangover" and just laughed ourselves silly. Why not continue on to the Northern Quest Casino and try out luck? Well, we only had a whopping loss of $5, so we decided to have a late night snack. Poor Rock had to drive me all the way home as I slept in the car. Bed felt good around 3 a.m. Happy Father's Day hubby Rock.

June

Rock and I spent a very quiet Father's Day at home. He took me on a very long drive to the top of one of our mountains to see the breathtaking views. We met the Irvins in Idaho and spent a few days with our dear friend Bill from back East. He has a house on Lake Pend Oreille. Good food, games, boat rides and fun times. We also got to see his resident bear. At the end of the month we spent a few days with all of the Irvins at their cabin on Puget Sound, just outside of Bremerton. The weather was good to us. We relaxed, ate good food, had boat rides and campfires at night. On our way home we bought Washington grown strawberries so Dionne and I could make freezer jam. Yum yum!
