Easter at the Irvins

Since I mentioned below that Amya doesn't like to wear hats now and would have nothing to do with the Bunny hat I made her for Easter..I decided to share my hats. These are the hats I have made so far. They will mostly be one of a kind and when I have quite a lineup of hats, my plan is to have a website on http://www.shopthefrontier.com/. This is a local project (I know the woman who is behind it) to promote the arts for women in rural communities! I will then be trying to sell my hats online and hopefully shipping them everywhere. Check out this website when you have some time. Of course, by then, I hope Amya will be my model and her friend Mason will model the boy hats. The blue one is Mason's at the moment. Dionne and Mason's Mom Kristin know that before my website goes up, I have to have all hats back!! I also have to hope their heads still fit the hats! Any input will be appreciated.

What I love about making these, besides the fact that they are fun, is that they are so rewarding and fast, a couple of nights in front of the TV!

EASTER:

We couldn't miss our second Easter with Amya and the Irvins.....so off we went. We left on Saturday and spent Easter Sunday at Dionne's house with Dionne, Brian, Amya, Sue, Cliff, John, Lisa and Corbyn. On Saturday night Rock and I went out with our friends Barbara and Jerry to celebrate Barbara's birthday and our belated anniversary. We babysat Amya Monday afternoon, hung out with the kids and came home Tuesday. It was a short but wonderful visit as always.

I will wear my bunny ears from my Mommy, but I won't wear my hat Grandma made for me!

About Me

My photo
Still enjoying my life "under the Keller sun" on our slice of paradise, traveling around to see friends and family and making many trips to see our most amazing grandchild and now MOSTLY, being a Grandma, getting as much of our Amya as we possibly can and LOVING grandparenthood.
