August Happenings...

Some of my favorite garden spots of 2010

Loved my "window to the world" this year! It was covered with plants that I started from seed!

This year we had a wonderful time at the Omak Stampede as we had some special guests.  The three Irvins and Susan and Andrea from Colorado.  Of course, it was Amya's first rodeo, other than the Ellensburg rodeo when she was an infant.
Loving the rides

You go girls!

Rodeo Time

Amya's First Cotton Candy and a Slushie..."Oh My Papa!"

Making friends with the Rodeo Queen and her Court..leave it to Amya!

Finally Fossil Digging at Stone Rose in Republic

Bye my dear friends, it has been fun!

Tiger, a few days before we lost her.  She loved to sit on Rock's lap every night while we watched TV.

We can't prolong your life anymore dear Tiger on her last day on earth
Your Daddy made you a beautiful little coffin
In which went the blanket you loved that I made for you and you have a beautiful resting place in the orchard under the cherry tree in the beautiful San Poil Valley, which is God's country
RIP dear Tiger Cat, "Biddy!"  We will miss you so
Dionne with our dear family cat Tiger in 2007

This year marks Rock's 50th class reunion.  It was held at a hotel in Smokey Point.  We decided to take the scenic route, stopping in Leavensworth.  Of course, what could be better than finding a latte on the way!  Oh, and flowers everywhere...

Pre-funking in Judy and Russ's room.  Gotta hand it to those "old folks!"  Go Monroe Tigers!

As young as you feel and act....

Leave it to The Rock to still have his Letterman's jacket!

We had a few too many of these visitors this year...yuk, dispatch them I say!
Nothing like a visit from good ole friends

Pot luck at Community Center

And a good cook to boot..
Cook off with neighbors

Kids watch, adults visit!!
Gotta stay on the blanket!

About Me

My photo
Still enjoying my life "under the Keller sun" on our slice of paradise, traveling around to see friends and family and making many trips to see our most amazing grandchild and now MOSTLY, being a Grandma, getting as much of our Amya as we possibly can and LOVING grandparenthood.
