August

Hot, hot and more hot. What can I say. Two or so weeks of high 90's, low 100's. Very little moisture in the air, so there have been many dry lightning storms and fires all over this area. Not good. We can't even burn in our burn barrel...perhaps I had better purchase a shredder after all! Apricots are in full force now. Rock has dehydrated quite a few and a "bushel" of fresh ones will be picked and taken to Idaho for our "Hoot in Idaho along the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, which we are all looking forward to. House is clean and we are ready to go Wednesday August 5. We will be meeting Dionne, Brian, Amya, Sue and Cliff at Mr. Bill's and Barb will be there too this time, which is just so great.

Bucky found a very cool spot under an apple tree in the orchard

There really are apricots on here but they are the same color as the sun these days! Still we will get a "bushel" or two!

She is really under there

She thinks of these apples as balls

Funny kitty

There really are deer out there but that's okay, we can't see them, which is what we want!

There's two, they stayed up there this time

About Me

My photo
Still enjoying my life "under the Keller sun" on our slice of paradise, traveling around to see friends and family and making many trips to see our most amazing grandchild and now MOSTLY, being a Grandma, getting as much of our Amya as we possibly can and LOVING grandparenthood.
