Road Trip to Jerome and Sedona

Love Adobe architecture

I know I am so cute

We know we are so cute too!

My 3 Grand Dogs

Well, our road trip to Sedona. What can I say. It was just absolutely wonderful for me as I had been dreaming of a road trip with my two daughters and of course, my Grandaughter was a bonus!! We really had fun. Craziness as well. Fortunately Sedona is only a couple of hours or so from where Danielle was living. We stayed at a Hilton Resort. Beautiful swimming pools, restaurants and everything we needed right there. Sedona is this quaint town surrounded by red rock mountains and Adobe style buildings. Beautiful scenery with mountains all around, no matter where you look. We shopped, spent time at the pools and restaurants, went out to dinners, and treated ourselves to a Hummer Jeep Tour. It was really wonderful to be driven by a tour guide all over these mountains and to understand how they became these beautiful red rock mountains. Amya was so great on this tour. She did fall asleep after a while, which was perfect as I stayed in the jeep with her while the girls and the guide went for a hike, a little higher than I wanted to hike!! On the way home, we stopped for a couple of hours in this very small town (known as a ghost town), called Jerome. Then back to Phoenix we went. We were so happy with how well Amya did on this side trip. She is just an amazing little girl. It was hard to keep her in her stroller for too much shopping, but even at that, she did great and we all had a wonderful time.

Red, red, red

Rocks, rocks, rocks

OK, you can hike higher now.

Sunset over Sedona!

Sunny day in Sedona!

Let's go jeeping.

Old town Jerome

I think I will talk to "TUBBA!" My cousin can keep me entertained while we drive and drive and drive!

Old jail in Jerome
OK, so Amya loves to dance and loves to do rollovers and loves to jump
Dionne, as of 2010 has her in gymnastics and swimming. She is really good at both of these activities. She has a new thing now...she walks around all day singing away (must be like her Papa Rock)! I imagine, soon I will have her in singing lessons. Watch out, I am sure there will be a video of her singing, if there hasn't already been one!!

Cave Creek Visit, Aunt Jeannie Visit and Playing in the Fountain

After our little side trip to Sedona and Jerome, we just hung out at Danielle. While she was working Dionne, Amya and I visited Aunt Jeannie, who lives in Arizona spending a wonderful day with her in the pool. We also spend a late afternoon shopping at Cave Creek, this neat little town. Discovering the fountain at the mall was the best thing. We took Amya there every day until we left for home. We were wishing we had discovered this earlier on in our trip. Amya loves fountains. Remember our hoot in Idaho!!??

Wish we would have discovered this fountain when we first arrived in Arizona! Close to Aunty Danyelle's too!!

Beautiful new laundry room cabinet built by Rock during my absence
He is becoming quite the carpenter

Look what Grandma Sue and Papa Cliff bought for me while I was gone.

I think I will try on Grandma's shoes
Beautiful sunset in Ephrata on way home to Keller

Nice surprise to find Rock had started on remodeling my laundry room. New sink installed, cabinet built, counter top built, new plans to complete it made by me, and hopefully this winter of 2010 it will be completed. I also knew the exterior painting of the house was completed during my absence and was so relieved to not only come home to it being done, but to LOVING the color! You might have noticed how I stressed over choosing the perfect color. All's well that ends well!!

At Last.....Sunny Arizona in September Here We Come

I arrived in Seattle Sunday the 20th of September. Met Susan (who was in town visiting Diane) for coffee. We had a good visit. On Monday morning, I had to have a female medical procedure, which went just fine. Thanks for taking me and picking me up Dionne. Next day Dionne, Amya and I did a bit of shopping and went to meet Diane, Peter and Susan at our favorite Middle Eastern Restaurant, Omars. We had a really good dinner. Next day we left for sunny Arizona. We were to spend from the 23rd through the 4th of October. Amya did really well at the airport and on the plane. Thanks for giving us a ride to the airport Audrey.

I think we are getting close!! I will only see results on 10-5!!

Hi Peter, this is Elmo

I don't think I fit in Casen's baby seat!
Casen Tomlinson, so small and so darn cute.
Welcome to the world baby Casen.

Blowing bubbles at swim class

Loving my new swim cap from Grandma

Grandma, it is hard to catch these bubbles!
My "Sheshawks" shirt would become very well known in Arizona!

I am ready to go and see Aunty Danyelle now

Mommy, you look so worried!
We're leaving on an airplane!
