September

September is a beautiful month in the mountains. Brian, Dionne and Amya spent over a week with us, during which time some of their friends and Aunty Danielle visited. We spent time picnicking, fishing, playing on our river and at Banks Lake. There were many DeWitt food fests and fun around the ole campfire at night. We also celebrated Rock's 66th at a Mexican Restaurant in Republic. Danielle left us and drove to Walla Walla for her work. We then left for Walla Walla to meet her, toured a winery and stayed at the "famous" Whitman Hotel!" Next day Rock and I drove to Medford, Oregon to attend a wedding in Ashland. Our best friends Larry and Susan's daughter Katie married Mike, whom she met in vet school. It was a fun filled four days in Oregon. The highlight was driving back to Renton to see our baby!! Wow, what a very busy month for the DeWitts.

October

October saw the 6th annual Tonasket Family Barter Faire (now a Dewitt/Irvin family tradition). Brian and Dionne were able to spend two wonderful weeks with us while Boeing figured it out! Our dear friends Bill and Barb from back East visited and joined in the fun. Grandpa and Grandma took Amya to her first pumpkin patch in grand Coulee Dam. Amya then celebrated her first Halloween as a chicken! Oh, and I welcomed a third grand dog this month. Welcome Tinks! Danielle and Chad will treat you like a "Princess!"

Tinks has already been entered in a fashion show! Imagine that

Halloween time for Tinks too

Sport and Muffin have their Halloween costumes

No wonder Brian bought me a new splitter/chopper for Xmas!

November

Rock and I spent ten glorious days in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Our five star all inclusive resort made no profit on Rock! Needless to say we ate, drank, walked the beautiful white sandy beaches, toured some of the country, met wonderful people and truly had a "tropical" blast! If you know me, I love to travel and have decided from this point on, I want to go to "new" places. However, getting my "International Fix", just a hop skip from Miami, was all I could wish for. It seems as if, so far, Dominican Republic has mostly been discovered by Europeans, Russians, and Canadians! Ay!! By the way we spent Thanksgiving Day in New York at Kennedy Airport, which was quite different and didn't even get two bags of pretzels on the plane for the occasion!

It may not be Punta Cana, but we do have
beautiful sunsets over these mountains!

Could the sand be any whiter?

December

Amya's first Christmas was happily spent in West Seattle at Grandma Sue and Grandpa Cliff's house. Aunty Danielle flew in from Arizona to spend this special time with our family. Watching the "light in our lives" open her first Chanukah and Christmas presents brought joy to our hearts. We all had a wonderful Christmas together. The three Irvins then came up to Grandma and Grandpa for New Year. They enjoyed the week playing in all of our snow, and we all had fun around the campfire watching the fireworks display orchestrated and directed by Rock and Brian! Missed you Chaddy!

I can walk holding on now and drink from a cup!

Guess I will always be posing for Gramarazzi with my Mommy and Aunty!

Merry Christmas
